The animation is an introduction to trauma and recovery and has been developed to support educational professionals in understanding and supporting students who have been affected by trauma. This freely available resource, aimed at those working in education, helps open up discussion about trauma with young people. A result of efforts working with clinician, teachers and young people this resource was helped through the The We Love Manchester Emergency Fund (WLMEF). Seven organisations have used grant funding to make a real difference to Greater Manchester’s trauma responsive capabilities. The Greater Manchester Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise Trauma Responsive Communities grants (GM TRC grants) were launched in July 2022 to support and develop partnerships, resilience and trauma and ACE-responsive VCSE provision. Funding was earmarked for extra grants to successful projects which bid in round one.
